For over a decade after college, I stepped away from my identity as a runner. But since moving to Leadville in August 2024, I’ve gained a new perspective and been inspired by the people and the landscape to return to the sport I once loved—this time in the mountains.
I’m now drawing on my background in Ayurveda and yoga for this new endurance journey. A 100-mile race requires a focus on long-term health and balance, not just pure speed, so I’m using these ancient practices to help me listen to my body, find nourishment, and stay grounded while pushing my mental and physical limits. I hope to culminate a series of running events with the Leadville 100 Trail Run in August 2026. This journey is about more than just logging miles; it’s about proving that what once seemed impossible is now within reach. And let’s be honest– it’s also about seeing as many majestic mountain goats as possible!
